Longest stun in dota:
Razril : up to 5 seconds
T. Chieftain : stomp
Mirana : arrow
Void : chronospere
in fact, both are needed. but depends on situation. stunning is great to open battle, while slow for chasing runaway enemies. overall, stun for me is better. simple, tell me, would you prefer permastun or permaslow? even you slow Jahrakal, when he got into you, you’ll get an ownage only

if you play with cairne bloodhoof you dont say it forever!!!
cairne can take image and send it to group of enemies…and stunt them 5 seconds!!!!while infernal of warlock is ultimate and has 2 second stun … compare it

chaos knight can stun up to 4 secs but it’s by chance only

noobs everywhere
alleria’s stuns last for 3.75 seconds and if you know how to use that stun
you can stick two heroes togheter with that stun
raigor stuns can trap you for 8 seconds around a tower
that is enough just to do a first blood at the begining
