Retire from DotA?

sometimes it’s hard to say “I quit”. After 7 years playing dota and wrinting in this guide for almost 2 year, i think it’s time to get some rest. I don’t have any feeling that makes me wanna play DotA again, there is no passion, there is nothing that i want to rush. I think everybody will or maybe already had this feeling before. The best answer maybe leave the game for a while, take a rest, and come back with full passion, searching for something unfinished business.

Thanks for the readers, i’ll come write again even with my terrible english, at least i try, but anyway thanks for some critics, comment, idea, opinion, thanks. This is my first blog (i think iwill change this blog to sare some of my story in the future since i like this blog) and the responses from you all dotA lovers were good.

I’m going to search my fate in WoW. This is the game that i play along with WC3 3 years ago but since dotA get some fanatic or ‘extreme’ people playing in my bnet, i had no idea how to enjoy that game again. Last but not least, i will take a survey about enjoyment while playing game. This survey is needed for my thesis. I hope you participate in this survey since i know the readers here are game lovers. I learn so much from here, from learning english (i know not every word i wrote is good enough to be read by you), sharing opinion, and many more. I can only say thanks since i can’t give any of you anything.

What a great holiday !

i think i’ve not post anything for a month due to a loong holiday (which end up tommorow sad to say…). Anyway, my friend say in B.net yesterday “google meepo guide and your guide is the 1st at their page rank lol”. Something that proud me a little since i don’t think it’s important for google to rank it lol. But thanks for you all who read and comment to my blog, i don’t know i can’t participate much in dotA since this is my last year in college, so i have to do some research and finish my study. But there was an event in my college that dotA were included in there, so i think i can deploy those game here if i can join in .

Anyway, 6.65 anda 6.66, two or three new hero i forgot, the murloc one, and the ice spirit one..hmm one again if i’m not mistaken, I’m not using them yet, yes there should be some ppl complaining “imba heroo”, that’s normal. Remember when THD first release and wreck the game with his skill, lol so funny.

hey guys, yesterday i just browsing youtube about some WCG (at first i search for ensidia for WoW collection:D) and get a link which show me “WooooW what a crazy zomg (omg i can’t explain it) final”. lose by megacreep but still can push into frozen throne that left with 25hp. What a good fight by those team, really i want to scream when Nevermore want to hit for the winning hit but lost by Maiden hit lol. You should check it in youtube i forgot the link ==’

Have you ever played a game that every of you want to end this game ASAP but both of the team always do their best? I played 3v5 which my friend DC-ed in early game and mid (thanks they’re not dying so much). The game almost reach 80 minutes with 3 divine rapier switched between ours and them. One thing you must sure is about, when you want to push, go push to their heart. It’s a critical position when your enemy push your base and you push their base. It now depends on how many ppl push and how good they manage to destroy the base.

Well i’ve played chen quite a bit and enemy always put a ward in the forest. So there’s nothing i can do and switch my build to support or switch lane to go to enemy forest even though this is a dangerous step.

In tournament, one thing you must keep in your mind is ban the right hero, get AoE hero, and only pick one carry hero for the rest of your life in playing dota.

Communication is important!

If you play in the public game (usually don’t but this time i want to play alone), make sure that you’re friend is conversational. So they’ll tell whether one of the hero missing, or tell who is the target to be killed/stunned.

The worst is when your mate isn’t a conversationalist, then you’re game isn’t too good, you’re friend also get pressed in every lane, well it’s shocking you know?what the hell are they thinking?did they just playing with their own monitor like play with bot maybe?lol This is different when you play with your friend where everything is just like a storytelling, with just one single move, they react so quick or just by pinging once, they know what you mean (I’m the one who pinging thousand times if i got stres:D)

Item for pugna, i don’t know if this is only my opinion, but pugna isn’t too good in a clash especially where everything move really fast. He lacks of hp, one thing i like about him is only nether ward (just laugh when i killed enigma with ward when he cast black hole near me ). Get dagon fast, and rush guinsoo, maybe you want to get phase boots to decre+blast combo + dagon.

Obsidian destroyer has no other items except intelligence. I get bloodstone and rush guinsoo, if situation isn’t going too well, get vanguard to boost some HP, you know you’re the one that enemy must kill before the battle begin.

Lucifer, even though he plays bad, but if he can manage his gold very well, one single item can turn him into a tanker/support/killer. Asking about kill a razor, don’t even think twice to kill him if i was a hard nuker, usually razor has no play time in my lane. One thing i must say, don’t take him 1v1 in any condition except you stun him (mirana vengeful spirit etc) since sometimes i underestimate his ring

this is the longest time that i don’t played dota, maybe two weeks i don’t login to battle.net lol. Everytime i want to play, i had remembered when playing in pub game, everything isn’t good at all. so i decided to at least off a while, and play another game. But tonight, i’m ready for dota again (hopefully), and meet some other noob again lol.

many people argue that mortred high end build is like this, or maybe like those, but you can’t reach those item if your mate, or the game can’t come close to an end or late game. So, i recommend you if you want to play those hero with your own build, make sure your mate let you farm and last hit hero, pull creep, and etc since you’re the one they hope.

Last time i played with ezalor and fully support Aiustha (it’s the version before Aiustha strength got nerf) it’s really fun to just shoot illuminate and follow Aiustha in action. I think she must get some HP boost 1st, since her strength gain is very low, only ONE per level. the next will be Guinsoo of course, but if you can get Guinsoo asap, you can delay your Vanguard/another boost HP item since you”re not an initiator. But watch out for some high nuke from lich lina or lion or maybe luna.

I want to play some dota games but i don’t have any since it’s already a midtest week. Guide is pending since i can’t guarantee how long this guide will stay tuned (icefrog update really fast lol)

too lazy to read the changelog

so i have an experience when i play a game with my friend, and i didn;t read the changelog of 6.63. I farm quickly and buy power tread, but what happen next?gloves of haste still there and not a reagent to get power tread. The aspd bonus also gone (tough in 6.64 tread also get these bonus again) so after all, i decide to read the changelog. A lot of new things such as new mana burn, now it can counter obsidian destroyer

anyway since i’m still in mid exam i can’t play too much, although i try to continue Tauren Chieftain guide, but maybe in simple way.

Long Long Time..

after a long time not writing a guide, i have an idea about Siren and Tauren Chieftain. Maybe next week i’ll have a time since this week i got a midtest course which means i don’t have too much time to play around T_T.

But anyway, Dota 6.63 AI already out but with beta version. So far i don’t see any major bug other than Batrider and some new hero, it’s works well for you who wants to try new map. Read changelog since there are too much things changed like manaburn.

Start to play with my own ambition..

after sick and tired of playing pub with support hero, now i play with my own hero. I don’t care whether my chosen is support or not, but at least i want to play with it . After a week playing like that, i found that the best support hero is Ezalor, the worst enemy in solo lane is Viper and Vengeful Spirit is all around hero. Spiritbreaker chosen by some people now, i don’t know but is there something different with him since last version? the same thing happen with bloodseeker.

Last night playing with Ezalor, i don’t see why Lich got the same build with me. I should get guinsoo not mekans because Lich already got it. But after all, i don’t like Ezalor too much if no intel hero killer in team like Enchantrees or Obsidian Destroyer maybe. hmm..just an opinion after all
